Taken at home. Dropped the water onto a black plate and had a red board behind it. My SB800 was off camera to the right.

Last week I took a workshop on Close-up and Macro photography. I really enjoyed it a learned a great deal. Below are examples of what I took in the workshop and my initial attempt at close-up at home with some of the roses from our yard.

Went to see Wicked in LA on July 6th.

I got a new little camera to carry in my pocket. I wasn't taking my big camera with me everywhere and found that there were times I wanted to take a shot, but didn't have anything but my phone. It takes terrible photos! So I got a Nikon Coolpix S210, so far I love being able to carry it in my pocket and have it handy any time.


This is an Amaryllis that we've had forever. It blooms every year.
